One may wonder if the title is speaking about a quilter for hire? Hmmmm I wonder if I will have any good quotes left behind? You know, hey! Use your Olive Oil!, or, "HERE! I love your guts. grunt."  How about, "Be nice or go home!" I know! "Live well, get a manicure!" lol I'm so shallow at times. Or... aged 7? I think it was Blima that accused me of that. I wonder if the Dali lama gets high? I DO NOT KNOW where that came from! Wow.. I need more coffee. BRB.
Ok, I figured out where it came from. Its all of these people who have taken art to the level of infinity, and then I find out that they are generally reaching places of their minds with the help of chemicals rushing through their veins. Name me one person in music, film, art, even business inventions that wasn't higher than a kite and sometimes fell at the hand of such. Lets use Pink Floyd just to keep things recent.  Addicts and a clear artists. I always detested this music (until Mufasa trying to find a way to convince me of his greatness) :::cause G must be SOLD, not TOLD::::: Where was I? Oh!.. He brought me a CD of Pink Floyd's music played by an orchestra. A full on rendition of each of the hits. I am not exaggerating when I now tell you that THIS pair was brilliant! ( Roger Waters and David Gilmore) Through different ears did I hear this music. Pink Floyd Symphonic. I realize that this is a classical rendition of his music, but my ears cannot stand  Pink Floyd doing it, yet swoons hearing the symphonic versions!
 So who else? Elvis? Picasso? Dumb luck or drugs? I know! Charlie Sheen! Now theres a mind right? Just ask him! How about finding a high while exercising? :::I cringed on that one:::: Maybe our creativity comes from work alone? If we enjoy our work, we are creative in it? We should all be so lucky to live to work and enjoy this, yes? Of course, yes.
 I personally post a prayer and sometimes drink a glass of wine when calling out for my Mojo. I'm not sure that's gonna do the trick..lol Speaking of, I'm going to put on some tunes, take 2 Excedrin and make a fresh cuppa and get to work! Chemicals.. see ! Yen Can Cook!

Mornin`! How are ya? I am alive! The jury was out on that btw after getting my new much needed bridge installed yesterday. Now I don't understand why normal people just go in and get their teeth done with no incident. Mine? Drama EVERY step of the way! Be it money, insurance woes, PAIN, gum grafting and yes even death. I am so far from normal there must be a huge plan for the rest of my life! Here's the back story:
After nearly one years worth of a battle to bridge 3 lil teeth, I am so close to the DAY I can fry up a cowboy pork chop and gnaw it to the bone. I have waited, fought, bawled, and yes poligripped my way around this bear of a journey. I am excited and proud to have survived this (TOO). Monday is the day. The sun is about to come out, all rain be damned, and I can chew once again!
 Then.....I get this call on Friday. Of course its the dentist. I froze. WTH? Insurance issues again? Maybe the lab screwed up the fitting? There was an earthquake that obliterated my toof?? WHAT???
Oh nooooo much worse than that! My poor dentist, a young 50 yr old slender healthy man, just passed out at work and died. Thought to be a brain aneurysm, the man is gone, and all I can think about is my stupid bridge installation??? Oh Gina.....
I spent the entire raining week end with this on my mind. They were trying to find a substitute to take his appointments. Might a stranger be in my mouth? Those of you that know me well understand my fear of dentists. I don't bite, however I do throw up . A lot.
Monday showed up, so did the sunshine, and a substitute dentist. The very same temporary bridge that wouldn't stay put all winter long was now about to be SAWED off by a stranger. I heard the words "we're going to have to cut this one apart". OMFG! With no zanex on board, I wept. With needles up my nose I wept A LOT. I didnt throw up. I took my mind to a place that could not destroy me for I had already suffered the worst. ( that will get me through ANYTHING for the rest of my natural life. CLIC
Temp is out, new prosthetic is in, I am sore but alive, and the dang sun is out! Life is good. I will sorely ( no pun intended) miss my dentist. I hope I find a new trustworthy doctor. That poor suffering family of his will not. I am a bit ashamed of myself. I am a big boob sometimes. Grunt. Where's Mr. Wizard when ya need him?
Pay no attention to the crooked smile. Its the dope. I'm snarling like Ginger! LOL No funny remarks either...like, "hey wheres your lipstick? Is THAT an Age spot girlie? U sure you dont want to try that bleaching zinger machine again?..... remember... "G" Unplugged:)

Happy Monday:) Are ya up?:::asking myself right?::: I am SO looking forward to today! Why? The sun is coming !The sun is coming! Have we had enough rain? Mud? grey, drip yuk weather? We have several HWY 1 road closures now. Just TRY to get to Monterey right? The big sink hole is not far past Cambria where Mufasa travels to daily. I hear tell that the tourist industry is already suffering greatly. I hope they can fix the road before summer!
This week end we unpacked even more in the rain.The garage got some much needed attention and we can now walk in there! I am still getting the shop in order while quilting! Its a smaller studio so storage is at a premium, and a bit difficult to figure out. Yesterday, I used the ceiling as a 5th wall and hung quilts up there! I wonder if I can make a design wall up there? Hmmmm
As you probobly figured it out I did not win the Mega Million dollar lottery. Well, I DID win 2 dollars!Next time. I found the perfect sink I would like to put in the home I'll be building. Wanna see it? My inspiration is from my biscotti jar. Can ya just see me walking all over toting this big ceramic jar around? I cant wait!
I keep a file for such ideas so that when the time comes, I'm READY!! I can just whip out the pictures and point. :::sigh::: You should see my studio pictures!
For today I shall be quilting on a snowball. I think I've done the stand and stare long enough. I am still ditching while contimplating though! Hey! Thank goodness I remembered to tell you this! I have a new app on my Android Smart phone you just have to try!

Mom's Chicken & Dumplin's My Way


I'm not clear when Ma had her decade of fun with Bisquick. I think it was the 60's? I still love the go to Impossible Pies and my kids did too! I still love an impossible cheeseburger pie!
 The differance in mine and Moms Chicken and Dumplins is her Roux. She made her own, mine is a can of cream of chicken soup! ( or celery). Also,  she left her chicken pieces whole, I dice mine up. I'm eager to de bone so I can be lazy with the bites!
I was very busy chasing kids to make a roux back then anyway. Years later I have tried it, and also my own dumplins, but I always come back to this way. Serious comfort food, or rain food however you would like to see it.


 
Chicken and Dumplings
Soup
•1 (3 to 3-1/2 pound) whole chicken cut up
•2 bay leaves
•6 sprigs Dill
•4 to 5 black peppercorns
•1 head garlic, split
•2 tablespoons kosher salt
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 stalks celery sliced
2 carrots sliced
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup pearl onions ( u can use 1 small sweet onion diced, Ma liked those pearl onesJ)
1 large potato, peeled and diced ( do not omit as it adds thickness to soup)
Salt and pepper to taste
1  Can of  cream of chicken soup

*Bisquick dumplins, see below
Sprinkles of parsley flakes

In a stock pot place first 6 ingredients, cover with water.( about 6 cups)  Bring to a boil, then simmer one hour.
Remove chicken and strain off stock. ( reserve stock, place chicken on a cutting board, pitch the rest.)
While chicken cools, skim fat from the stock and add all of your veggies except peas, Cooled, deboned and cut up chicken. Cook on simmer 30 minutes. Add creamed soup in and frozen peas. bring to a boil.
Use Bisquick recipe for dumplins and add spoonfuls onto boiling soup,sprinkle parsley flakes, reduce heat,cook 10 min, cover and simmer 10 minutes longer.

Dumplins:
2 C bisquick
2/3 c milk

Mix together, do not over mix.


* Favorite memory comes to me when I make this soup. I used to love corn. Especially cut fresh off the cob. I added this to Moms recipe and she ALWAYS scolded and told me that I ruin her dishes with my corn! THIS coming from a woman whos favorite creamy soup is corn chowder? She cracks me up. I miss her so much. Nowadays.. since I continue to learn, I use less and less corn. I dont need the carbs, starch, or non nutritional value. I choose to save my corn craving for the state fair walks:)

Eye Dew Review By Me, G.

One would think this would be refreshing for those insufferable morning puffiness days. Not so fast! I have now used them for the damned sinus infection swollenness top and bottom!
My Dear Daughter sent these to me last month. I think she thought I needed a spa treatment? I didn't try them until I just couldn't LOOK at myself in the mirror any longer out of sheer horror of resembling Rocky Balboa's kid sister! As I stood at that mirror behind me in the reflection hung these lil patches of heaven:) I really had nothing to lose but FATNESS! Now on the directions it reads to use below the eyes for puffyness. Now me, being the curious one that I am had to play around with this recipe. I put them in the refrigerator for an hour and used above my eyes and below as well. They went on super simply and to my delight, stayed there! I wasn't about to skip a beat so I kept walking and ::unpacking::: and wow... kept them on!
After a good hour or so I removed them and ran straight for the mirror and moisturizer, expecting to fix something. Not only did they work like a poultice of ibuprofen diminishing the swelling drastically, but it felt great too! (oh man next time I have a crying jag you know what I'm reaching for!)
I want these everyday. With coffee and blogging. No one would see right? What a wonderful routine!

All natural ingredients, no hemmroidal creme necessary (another blogabout no doubt). A bit pricy, but its not botoxy? I bet this will be great after a heavy drinking quilting day!

Oh I have MORE than one picture of this little one caught red handed, but I just crack up everytime I see this one. I have entered her/us into a contest from Single Dad Laughing. Second cuppa thoughts.........because I can:) I got to sleep in today and guess what I discovered? My usually dragging butt behind was up and speed racing through the house a lot sooner! I cleaned the kitchen, started laundry, made my list, ate some protein, took out the trash, made a few sticki reminders, did the parrot prayers, and SHEESH< made fresh coffee and Im back! Maybe I really am recovering from the move? Maybe the antibiotics kicked in? Maybe I DID need more sleep!!!
I had my dr. follow up yesterday. I didnt tell ya, but it IS TELL ALL TUESDAYS right? grunt.
I finally figured out why I go to the doctor kicking and screaming. Yep yep yep... Its because the outcome is always anxiety! Every single time! Do you remember last summers BIG C SCARE? Well I do! Now, from a silly sinus infection, comes more of the same,(its still with me)  the unhealthy private part reaction to said antibiotics came over for a visit to. Two new blood tests ordered because of diabetes suspect, BP meds changed because its not controlled, changed my hormone meds cause she can.....and to top it all off, she put me on yet another diet! (No Whites At Night, Dr Gavin M.D.)
Mufasa thinks I havent been taking good care of myself like I told Ma last month. Ok, maybe he is right. In my defense, i am having a rough patch of life eh, but its shaping up? So must I. PS: I dont WANT a colon sceening test!!! ( kicking and screaming they are going to make me go:(
I want to just stay age 40 all my life. Yes 40. Ahhhh the good years...lol
So this new diet... like I havent tried them all right? I will read this book today in between appointments and box patrol. I have read the excerpts and now I understand why old people eat dinner so early, now I'm going to be one of them. GRUNT. The good doctor says its her "go to" live it program citing the ease of DQL with it on board.  I will get back to ya on that. Wish me luck! Ok, enough chit chat... much to do today, have a good one!

Good Monday morning! I was looking for my MM label and I see that I REALLY need a Happy Birthday label! I think I have many grands! Isnt that great?? Time marches on and while parts of that bothers me, this part does not.
Much love to give and get here oh boy:)This photo looks so much like his Dad (Jake) in his 4 year old preschool picture. He is every bit as much a curtain climber as his Dad too! (And then some!)
I have a mind list going today. Trying not to push the panic butoon. I think we took the weekend to be lazy. It rained and rained (still raining) so we werent up to speed with putting the house in order.You know what that means for Monday right? Doubletime! I think I'll go put on chicken and dumplins too. That always sounds so good in the rain. BTW, When is the dang rain going to let up? I think its following me! I know that I may be begging for that wet weather come summer right?
I want to squeeze in some tee shirt quilt time today too. I must say that I am not yet into the swing of things yet for work, but damn I'm trying! I need to get the house to a point where I feel that organized chaos as opposed to pure chaos..lol We did the Costco trip and brought MORE into the house to organize so that hits the list too. I am just downright pissed at the rise in food costs as well as gasoline. I tried Food4Less and found that they lie? Do you know that Target coffee is cheaper than Food4less and Costco beats them both? I personally think I tie up funds at Costco buying in bulk, however I just cannot beat the "bundled " savings that it nets. Not to mention the huge differance in quality of meats. It just isnt easy going to the 500 dollar store! Grunt.

Tee Shirt Quilting Amazement

Yesterday I decided that my body was not co operating with the whole move, unpack, huck boxes thingy. I had spent over an hour on the computer learning the new above feature of "tabs". I was feeling guilty for being on line and not physically working. However I am REALLY sore & tired! Trying to fit things into the shop is not an easy task, however, blogging about grief isnt either. Since 2 giant Rubbermaid storage containers were staring me in the face, I thought maybe now... maybe now 3 years later I could stop hauling Jamie's clothes around and make the tee shirt quilts.DANGER, I know. If photos are difficult, how in the heck could I possibly get into his clothes? Especially when my home is a wreck, my studio the same, and there is so much to do should I even tackle this?
I'm doing it. I need to recover my body, make some storage room, and walk through this damn fire.
I'm doing it. DANGER.
For 6 hours straight I sorted, sniffed, measured, cut, inhaled James scent still on his clothing. I did'nt die. I'm still breathing. Its amazing. I fell from time to time. I scared myself and texted my daughter a few times. I also had a different feeling. I was able to recall memories fondly. I saw Jamie wearing some things, hearing his laugh and seeing him smile. I could feel his presence and hear him telling which tee shirt went into what quilt, and WHO to give it to. One might think this was my own mind speak, but I would disagree.
This kid was such a saver. I have his swim team tee's, baseball, Hume Lake church camp outs, his beloved Wolf tee's and then there are those drinking shirts from his concert trips. He loved shirts with stupid sentiments on them. His favorites are evident in thier wear and tear. One thing that I find odd beyond belief is there are 3, count the 3 shirts from Maui, specifically. Now as far as I know, he has never been to Maui, but it was where I WAS when the life changing call came in. I am still scratching my head about this one. Could he have gone and I dont remember? I will ask the kids today too.
In all of his clothing, bedding, etc, it is very clear that which was important to him. His pride in his brothers military tours is one of them. Even the duffle bag from boot camp was saved and now, cut up. His passion for music like his Mama, and the damned love of drinking too. ( not mama) I scolded him as I always have for that. Dear God I miss him so much.
I went to sleep last night with the day on my mind, the scent of him all over me, his slippers on my feet, and guess what? I slept.
Amazing, just amazing.
60 Tee shirts in all and jeans and dress shirts ahead of me for today. I am not afraid. I am in hopes that this will bring comfort to the kids and his Dad....and me.

Happy Birthday To Mom & Brother John:)

After stumbling around for the coffee this morning, holding my allergy pressured face, with Ma on my mind, I opened the words above and I knew that she was still with me. Somewhere. For that, I keep calm and carry on. It may as well have been her saying those words meant for me.
 I am absolutley certain that she is enjoying her St Patty's Day Birthday with her heavenly family. For that I keep calm and carry on. It didnt stop me from buying her usual green bouquet for my table, however it has stopped me from picking up the phone. I miss you Ma.
This holiday has never been more than Moms Day for all of my life. Corned beef and cabbage always on the stove,and fresh cut green flowers on her table.
 I still find it funny that she landed on green and considered green a least favorite color. I will forever look in the mirror when I wear the color and wonder if I look like a frog.
(her crazy sentiments on the fashion).
I find it strangely comforting that the holiday still lives on in my big brother John. As many of you may remember that we only re met each other (I believe) in 2007. I'm wondering if he likes the color green? Dear John? just like Moms flowers on the table, I am chewing on black licorice in your honor ( yep, for breakfast!). So I suppose while the entire world wears frog green and drinks a brewskie for St Patricks Day, yours truly will be making a corned beef and cabbage while munching on black licorice, and smelling the flowers over there. Keeping calm, carrying on, thinking of my Ma and brother. Have a wonderful day, and so will I.

Now ya know she REALLY landed when the quilting comes out yes? Of course you do! First out of my closet is a "sort of" restoration. A friend of a friend of a friend kinda thingy. Here's what NOT to do when you send me a beloved quilt. I will and DO however take on any challenge, (cause that's how I roll) however some things just aren't necessary ya know?
You do not have to wrestle this baby down and sandwich it for me..lol I have the technology! Just bring me the masterpiece of a top, and the backing, I'll take it from there!

I know that you would LIKE to be finished with the beast, but please restrain yourself from binding it before I get to it. Puckers are not allowed at G's shop. See FAQ's at http://www.deargina.com/

I see your lovely try at hand quilting the piano keys, but try as I may.....I really cannot duplicate this?
 All you peoples know how I love restorations and sentimental projects but KISS. ( keep it simple silly) just for me:)
PS: Please remember that ditching for a longarmer is not the easy quilting technique as it is for you on a domestic machine. On our machines the head moves, not the fabric. On domestics, vice versa. Ditching for me (could be US) requires a steady surgical hand, achieved only with wine, and its not noon yet. ( that's some serious BS but sounded good at the time).
Having said all of this, I love all of your quilts, and yer guts... off to turn on the tunes and sew some straight lines.....

Happy Birthday to my Lil Woman Neice!! Is she REALLY 18 today? Mercy.... How old am I?
Wait, here's the bigger question... How did I get so lucky to have SUCH a beautiful family?  I understand I may be a bit biased here but come on peoples, you see the photos right??? Beautiful!
This lil pistal reminds me much of her Mama at this age. It always gives me a double take when I catch a glimpse of the past in one of her "looks" or in a mannerismn. My sissy did a great job loving her up!
Jackie plans on a fashion career in San Diego after a short visit to her local JC to earn an AA. I personally want to know when one of these family members fall in love with textiles and begin creating quilts! I think the fashion industry will give her a great intro don't you agree? Go Jacko Go! I hope that you enjoy your day today. I will be at Ruth & Chris with you tonight in spirit! Pass the wine! Oh... shit.

Just You N Me

Mornin`. I'm listening to "Baby Imma Wancha" on the radio from the 70's right? , Yes, high school.... sigh. How we do evolve eh? It prompted this coffee creation for today. "Used to be my life was just emotions passing by".... isn't that all the way through the journey? I think so. Just passing by to wherever we are not privy to know?
So onward to create the new you, whether it be a new do, a new home, or a new you. Its not about finding a new normal either. That's BS. I say its creating that too. New normal.... having coffee downstairs on a bar stool as opposed to your rocker in the living room? I don't like it! lol Man I'm getting old. So Trouble is, keeping the new normal thing! Just like keeping the kids at your feet. Washing on Mondays and gardening on Saturdays. Knowing where ALL above said KIDS are!! ( sorry, missing my Munz). Is it true that as we age we NEED more normals to stay put? You know.. the old geizers are SET in their ways stuff? Geez am I creating a senior? Nesting, preparing for winter? oh crap I take that back and SPIT! (twice)  OK, I'll quit with the questions. But its pretty good ponder food doncha think? I kind of miss Mister Wizard ponder food...lol I am left to my own! RUTRO!! I've been doing it all these years by myself, I can manage yes? Of course I can. Friends help:) The shattered world out back does too. I know its strange but I see it, and its comforting if not healing.Part of the journey me thinks. Now know whats playing on the radio? Precious and Few... good gravy!

Tools On Monday? M & M's

I'm still in jammie mode so no flip flop pic yet K? I got coffee, I got a halfa bagel :::not Montreal Bagel mind you::: I'm almost ready to do battle. ALMOST. Need coffee chat first.
We had a very busy week end as you might think. We now have sound in the shop and the rock garden on the run! Do ya want to see? Ok, brb...........

Saturday Morning

We cant figure out what to attack first?? The garage? The yard? The speakers? The living room? Or just go yard sale-ing? So... coffee on the messiest patio in the world, and pondering. Then we will decide. I am leaning towards yard sale-ing... We need a weed whacker and A  lawnmower.. ok, and a tree pole and a half dozen other things we got rid of in 2 years moving experiances. GRUNT.

Arroyo Grande=Big Ditch For Tsunami Wave?

I must live further inland now to avoid evacuations at the beach! LOL
Sorry.. NOT funny I know. This is specificaly the reason I have always gotten a home at least a mile UPHILL from the surf! I WAS going to go to my favorite shoe shop today on the beach dang it! I have been watching the news since 5 AM and its just devastating :( We havent had sirens go off yet but they are telling us to listen up. All of the piers are closed and all beach areas are closed and being evacuated. We are now too far inland for concern, but thanks so much for all the calls and emails. Rest assured

4 of the five cities are being sent to Walmart in Arroyo Grande... :::MY town:::: well, sorta.
Ma says that Arroyo Grande means :::big ditch:: I was wondering all these years if it means AFTER the tsunami hits... Can you imagine?
The local pictures on the news are nothing short of an amazement, and the tide is so far out its just an awesome haunt. They are expecting a 7. 7 wave event. I still dont understand the whole "event" terminalogy, Morro Bay a 3. 5 wave event. I'm still on the WOW feeling right now.
 I have much progress going on here and the studio is up and running! Its organized chaos, but DOABLE. For this, I am happy. On that note, I better get back to it! I will come back with edits on a break to catch you up! Stop worrying!

Hump Day Happenings

I'm feeling better! Ready to do battle again! :::So I put on my feel good flops:::: Amazing what antibiotics can do right? I am still swollen but now I think the drain is on... I like it. well, not really, but happy about it anyway.
The shops coming together nicely. Today I tackle the thread wall. ( film at 11) I ll take you round the mess in pictures when I'm near finished K? I am working with such a small space its actually causing me to think outside the box (es) and find better storage solutions. Mufasa and I team great as I dream it up and point, and he analyzes and makes it happen:) I cant figure out my quilt top hanging yet, OR the stencils. My wall space is all gone and I have but one little front closet. I need some Heather creativity in here I tell ya. She is the master of new innovative ideas!
I personally think I need to have a huge sale on notions and fat quarters! Either that or get busy making more tops! At least make the "scheduled" tops right? I had to get into my Jamie bins and re sort to maximize space and it took me down yesterday. I stuck my entire body into the pile and rolled like the damn dog in his clothes. His scent over powered me and I was happy, yet I died another day. I must say that it was a quicker recovery than past falls. For that I am okay. Hmmm... O.K.A.Y. What a word right? I have been trying to be okay for so long. Ok, enough... clic
We are doing THIS shop without adding anything new. READ: no expense. Believe me, it isnt easy. I am just thrilled having found such a sale on the new office shelving! For all of the rest, we are reusing, reducing, and yep, recycling. ( good gravy shes gone green). Necessity I say....or ... no money honey? I choose this time to save for all espresso furniture, shelving, etc...lol So even if my stark white tool bench sticks out like a sore thumb, its OK too. Ya gotta know its all been around the block a time or two right? If you are a follower, you KNOW it! lol

Pink Eye My Eye

Skipped the flops in favor of the slippers today!

Its not Pink Eye! Its a ding dang Sinus infection gone ROGUE! Only me right? No wonder I feel like crap! LOL I like the new doctor that I found. I didn't like her lil giggle when I TOLD her it was pink eye... Who knew? So I'm all infected everywhere, and my BP was up. She added another med to my med... call me Med Woman now. Grunt. I am even MORE swollen this morning:::sniff sniff:::: sipping my coffee feeling sorry for myself? Pity party for one? ONLY because I just don't have the go go juice to keep going and I must! I'm in a mess here!
Mufasa is taking good care of me as much as he can in between work anyway. He can cook a mean chicken pot pie! LOL As he lined up vitamins before he left this morning I figured that he thinks I ran myself down too. I should have been alerted to this growing infection a month ago when I had a head cold. grunt. I think I'll freshen the coffee and walk around the house trying to find some Mo Jo:) Have a great day!

Happy Monday:) I DID indeed get the pedicute, however I passed on the manicure due to heavy unpacking... next time:) I am off to find a doctor this morning as my eye has worsened and now Im seriously swollen ( no pic of THAT one!). Here is the photo of the new shop shelves! Arent they so cool? Cappucino is the color and ya gotta love that! Mind you I havent FOUND the contents of the shelf, save the parrot prayers and 2 speakers. Well... a few things more maybe. Slow going eh? I'm trying??
After the doc hunt I will be back at it. Promise.

Did I mention how tired I am? I need a mani/pedi day! I cannot keep my flops looking good in these toe fangs. I actually apologized to my Ed Hardy flops this morning... wierd, I know.
Unpacking is moving right along. I have such a sense of urgency to be settled that I am over taxing the ole` body. ( dont go there). I dont think that my pink eye ever cleared up either because I kinda resemble Rocky Balboa's kid sister today. No kidding... swollen over my eye and i can SEE the lid! I will hunt down a doctor tomorrow for sure. Between that and the back and hip soreness I'm not complaining... no I'm not!
We got the COOLEST new shelving system for my computer area yesterday! I will shoot and show you tomorrow as they are going up as we speak. I cant wait for the music to be re installed and liven up the joint:) Actually, I have found myself "itching" to quilt and in this mess, it just wont be happening YET, but I'm all over it! I am rather glad to be itching to resume quilting... :::sigh::: what a good feeling that is.
We are finding that storage solutions present quilte the problem here. I have no idea why as it is enough square feet? Where's the container store when a girl needs one anyway? Target just isnt footing the bill this time. I am finding myself jumping from one box to the next today. Bathroom vs kitchen vs shop...etc etc etc.... It must be in part because of the annoying eye issue right? Maybe I need time off for good behavior and go exploring? OKAY! A MANI/PEDI IT IS!

Day ONE of flip flopping kinda wearing! Remember I told you peoples how I had dozens of flops that could now longer be worn? Hey hey hey! Revisions! I decided on the utilitarian "go to" black Croc flops today. Whatever well I wear tomorrow? ( said in my beset Scarlet drawl) Please do not call the Pedi Police on me as it has been a VERY long month! ::and yes, they DO grow that fast!So does the hair! ::: At any rate, I'll get to it... sooner or later eh?
Here's one for ya.. not too flattering either I might add... but... just keeping it real right? Tearing down a home AND a studio is NOT an easy task! ( but still she smiles, alert the media)

Last night for Stitch and Bitch, one day before Moving truck arrives, Heather completes Sarah's Renaissance dress, and I packed the contents of the china cabinet! Well, I sewed some too... hush.....
I hate to be so quick, but duty calls and I gotta tell ya that I am HIGH anxiety over the mess around here. Putting a home AND a studio together isn't easy either!!! I will snap as I go... hopefully... hey! Here's an idea! How about a Flop a day??? Which ones will she wear??? I know I know, who cares.....LOL

News From Home Front!

Hi Honies I'm home! No really... I'm home! I am so doing the happy dance inside right about now too! Last night by 8 PM Charter breathed life back into 5 boxes in this house! We have lift off! Today, I am still under a mound of organized rubble, but I have a cuppa, a scoop of cottage cheese, a warm robe, central coast TV on, and the Internet! (and I'm home). My only wish is that my body would fully co operate. It is fighting me all the way. Owies on board, bruises a plenty, and several miles to go before the mission is accomplished and I can see NO MORE boxes.
Ah... theres just so much to say I don't know where to begin. Shall I tell you about everyone BUT me getting sick last week??? Naaaaa..... Today is officially day 7 from the opening day move ceremonies of delivering the refrigerator to Heathers house. By the way... while I'm on that.. thanks so much Heather for checking in and guest blogging for me!! I do so love your wit. I DO NOT love the content (of said blogabout) because it does so many things to me. Riles me up!!! Come be my neighbor? Please? I miss you already, and I missed you most last night. Wednesday night. OUR night. I loved Sarah in her new Renaissance dress and ya did good Buttercup!  I missed Aviana's green spirit day too... damn it.. she looked like a lil Italian leprechaun....I'm not exactly sure how to handle a few things like that yet, but I will.CLIC
I am on the case exploring around here and much to my delight I SCORED with this place! I was in search of a Post Office and stumbled in here for a coffee booster-upper. Whoa... my first impression was french baked goods, a whiff of fresh coffee, wine hanging off the walls,and a bunch of lap topping going on around me! I said HEY!!! I found a hang out!!! I ordered up the daily Quiche and an Italian roast Cuppa and plotted my take home choices. A long braid of white and wheat bread... L.O.V.E.D. it! ( so did Walt I might add).  I left with a smile and my all time favorite compliment, "I'll be back!"
Last night was also another first! First meal cooked! It took me THAT long to unpack the kitchen!! I made the Italian sausage tortellini soup since its still quite rainy here. Hit the spot too. I have only 3 homeless Pots/roasters...I can either give up cooking BIG, or snag a spot in Mufasa's garage?
I am certain that within the month of March, all will settle and I'll find my clothes,shoes. I have flat WORN OUT my sneakers, and frankly, I'm sicka looking at `em! I tore up 4 boxes at 2 AM just hunting down the Ibuprofen pills! It was a very COLD night in my nothins too! Hey! it snowed on the way over too! 28 degrees, convoy to the coast we hit flurries??????? WTH???????? Ya know..... I have seen enough rain in 6 months to last the rest of my life.... just sayin???
Ok.. enough jibber jabber.. I must press on. Good to be back with my BFF's in Da box! I will post pics when I can, and I'll see ya when I see ya! ( my Munz favorite sentiment:)
